Imagine someone stealing your phone, reading every private message, then blasting them out online. On July 10, 1782 in what is now Levittown, PA, the Patriots lived the 18th-century version of that nightmare. The Doan Gang used this tactic to not only humiliate the Patriots but also to expose sensitive information. Today, Historic Fallsington’s Stagecoach Tavern still stands, reminding us how powerful— and dangerous—information has always been.
