I am excited for the opportunity to share my process of creating art by sculpting two- and three-dimensional pieces of art with thread, recycled materials, and encaustic wax. My art is characterized by its innovative use of thread to create complex textures and shapes, often incorporating found objects to enhance compositions. Fisher's work has received international acclaim, including the Leonardo DaVinci International Prize for Contemporary Art and the UNESCO International Women in Art award.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous prestigious shows, including Art Basel in Miami, FL; ArtExpo NYC in New York, NY; MUSA International Women's Essence Show at Palazzo Velli Expo in Rome, Italy; Fluid Transitions at DaVinci Art Alliance; Ashton Gallery in San Diego, CA;
Scythia Mini Textile Art in Ukraine; the International Fiber Art Fair in Seoul, South Korea; and the International Embroidery Museum in Chung Yung Yang, Korea, to name a few. As an inaugural artist at the Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia, and founder of ArtWorks in Oriental, North Carolina, Fisher has made a name for herself within the Fiber Arts world in her short artistic career.
