Atelier Art Gallery is delighted to announce Tamper Evident, a group exhibition of the broad range of creative outputs by the Atelier Fine Art staff. Over 50 artworks from more than 40 artists are on view now, representing all of our PA, NY, and DE locations. We are open every Friday during the show and by appointment. We can't wait to see you!

Before a painting reaches a collector, a museum, or a gallery wall, it is crated, packed, transported, installed, documented, and carefully handled by a network of skilled professionals. Their labor is designed to disappear: after a job is complete, there is no evidence when viewing the artwork.

"Tamper Evident" refers to technical tapes and other devices that seal a box or crate for secure transportation. These security measures provide visible and irreversible evidence if a box or crate were to be opened, altered, or accessed without authorization. This can remind us of something broader: that minor contact and light movement can leave a discernible trace, a record of interaction after a moment has passed.

Years of carefully handling art has shaped the way these artists think, experiment, and create. In Some cases, that influence is visibly and irreversibly evident; in others, it is less apparent, yet no less integral to the artists lived experience.
