Ubuntu Fine Art needs to raise $15,000 over the next two months to remain open. Several grants I was expecting this year did not come through, and the gallery is behind on its obligations. To raise funds, I wrote a book.
Photography: A Way of Seeing. $20 digital download at ubuntufa.com. My challenge to my community: help me reach 500 to 1,000 downloads over the next two months.
I am not asking for charity, though I will receive it. I am asking for my skills to be put to use. Here is how you can do that:
Buy the eBook. Link in bio.
Book a tour. An Openness to Encounter guided tour with the artist. $25 per person, for groups of up to 20. Special group rates for groups larger than 15.
Bring me to your institution. Lectures, guest teaching, and facilitation on photography, fine art printmaking, and An Openness to Encounter.
Rent the space. The most beautiful gallery space in the City of Philadelphia. $350 per hour with a two-hour minimum, setup and breakdown hours included.
