The Phelps Historical Museum is hosting a guest exhibit put on by the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, honoring all 1,163 Wisconsinites who died fighting for the US in Vietnam.

🇺🇸Phelps Historical Museum Is Hosting Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name Traveling Exhibit🇺🇸

The Phelps Historical Museum is honored to host Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name, a moving traveling exhibit from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. The exhibit will be on display July 3–11 and is free and open to the public.

Developed in partnership with Wisconsin Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Television, and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, Wisconsin Remembers features a photograph of each of the 1,161 Wisconsinites whose names appear on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit also includes additional photographs honoring those remembered on The Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Neillsville.

More than a collection of photographs, Wisconsin Remembers is a powerful tribute to lives of service, sacrifice, and unrealized potential. Each face reminds us that behind every name engraved on the memorial was a son, daughter, husband, wife, friend, neighbor, or classmate whose life was forever changed by the Vietnam War.

The Phelps Historical Museum is proud to bring this remarkable exhibit to the Northwoods, providing visitors an opportunity to reflect on the personal stories behind the names and honor the sacrifices made by Wisconsin's Vietnam veterans and their families.

Visitors are encouraged to experience this moving exhibit and remember the men and women who never returned home.

Special Fourth of July Weekend Hours

- Friday, July 3: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 4: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday, July 5: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Daily Hours

- Monday, July 6 through Saturday, July 11: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily

Admission is free.
