Do you or someone that you know have an interest in becoming a member of the Go Fish Education Center team? We are hiring a part-time hourly Fisheries Technician position!
$14/hour – 29 hours per week-MAX
Job Description:
This position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors at the casting pond (assisting with fishing, equipment repair, and bait preparation), assisting with educational programming and leading aquarium tours, monitoring gallery simulators, front desk admissions/gift shop duties, processing hunting and fishing licenses, assisting aquarium and hatchery staff with husbandry tasks (cleaning, feeding, and water quality testing), helping set up and clean up for various programs and events.
Qualifications:
•Must be able to work rotating weekends: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Additional hours during the week will also be scheduled as needed.
•Must be comfortable assisting visitors of all ages. Friendly, outgoing personality is a plus and exceptional customer service skills are a must!
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Individuals with biology, fishing, or wildlife related backgrounds are preferred but not required.
