This year, the Museum of Culture and Heritage is pleased to announce it’s annual Summer Heritage Scholars Program. We are excited to offer a new and innovative camp this year that is an original curriculum written and developed by Robyn L. Rease, a new addition to artistic direction and programming at the museum.
“The Convergence of Black History and the Performing Arts” will allow students to take a more in-depth look at the contributions of African Americans to all artistic platforms - from visual art to poetry and literature, song and dance, and television and film. Students will look at the contributions of people like Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, August Wilson, Romare Beardon, and so many others who support the mission of the Museum of Culture and Heritage, which is to teach “a more complete American History through stories and the celebration of culture.”
The Scholars Program is designed for students ages 12 through 18. There will be two sessions:
Session I: Tuesday, July 14th through Thursday, July 16th
Session II: Tuesday, July 21st through Thursday, July 23rd.
The program will conclude with a performing arts showcase on Friday, July, 24, 2026 featuring students from both sessions. Students may attend one or both sessions.
The program fee is $125 per session/per student.
