Bob's turnings are only limited by his imagination and the wood's desire to be reborn into things such as Bowls, Platters, and vases to handles for many utilitarian items such as serving sets, nut crackers, and ice cream scoops. We carry a large variety of Salt and Pepper mills in several sizes and styles and even some toys for the young at heart such as Kandamas. His selection of Pens vary from basic slim line starting at $17 through many styles, materials and uses including fountain pens with real gold at the high end of the spectrum, desired by collectors and most anyone that appreciates the art. Unique to Bob in this area, he uses an "ornamental" lathe called a Rose Engine, that results in unique turned and carved surfaces with many reliefs. There are tea light holders from exotic woods and candlesticks out of recycled fence posts, even stumps with bark still on them. Our photography reflects our travels, a good part taking place in National Parks across this continent. The natural scene including wildlife can be beautiful, but so too can a vibrant Hot Air balloon as it soars above the earth. Ghost towns and abandoned anything also has an appeal, and you'll find works matted, and on canvas, metal and wood in several sizes. There is always a Christmas tree set up. I have made ornaments for many years, and they display proudly on the tree, waiting to find a home with someone. While most are painted on Sand Dollars and shells, there are some on drift wood, barn wood, stone slabs, and occasionally rusty artifacts that just screamed to be painted. Local scenes and a lot of lighthouses are resident on the tree, along with tropical fish, and again National Park sites that take people to that special trip or experience. A lot of them are displayed year round on a stand in hutches all over the country. As you wander through the artwork, and perhaps find a treasure for a gift, keep in mind we have a large selection of notecards ranging from pets, to scenic, to some of my miniature paintings; perhaps small framed art if you choose. There is usually something new and different in between that requires a second look. So take your time looking, you never know what you might find. We have gift cards available for any denomination, and we will gladly ship to anywhere in the country. Commissions are accepted when time constraints are considered. Since we are mostly open by appointment, just give us a call. we often are available to open. We accept private group shopping appointments, perhaps while you 're planning a day of wine tasting or just taking a drive in the area.
