All aboard the Halloo Express! 🚂

If you haven’t seen us lately… our Halloo Express rock train is growing with amazing art and community love! What a fun Summer project to paint a rock to add to the train! Bring it over & add your painted rock at the next town event!

🚂 🪵 According to local history, loggers working along the river would yell “halloo!” back and forth through the swamp and timber areas, and the nickname stuck.

By the 1850s–1880s, Halloo (Pearl River)became an important little railroad junction in eastern St. Tammany Parish. It sat where several rail lines connected.

Today we want to wish Donavin Pace all the best as he begins an exciting new chapter joining the United States Air Force!
Donovan has been a dedicated and hardworking member of our Public Works team for the Town of Pearl River. Whether rain or shine, he always showed up ready to work and help keep our town running smoothly. His positive attitude and strong work ethic will truly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
While we’re sad to see him go, we are incredibly proud of him for taking this next step to serve our country. From working hard on the ground in Pearl River to now preparing to soar in the skies with the Air Force, we know Donovan has a bright future ahead.
Please join us in thanking Donavin for his service to our town and wishing him safety, success, and many blessings on this new journey. Pearl River will always be cheering you on!

Thank you to all the PRHS seniors who submitted their applications for our annual scholarship! Your hard work and dedication to our community is truly inspiring.

We are excited to congratulate Miss Jaylynn Thompson for being awarded our 2026 Annual $500 Scholarship!

The scholarship was presented to Jaylyn on April 29th during Senior Awards Night at PRHS by our Board Member, Krista Gregory.

We wish all 2026 graduating seniors much success as you step into the next chapter of your lives. You've all got bright futures ahead of you!
