Pawnee City Historical Society & Museum Thur. is our special day during the winter for tours of all 20+ buildings. 10 am - 3:30 pm A scavenger hunt is available for those interested in the challenge.

Call for special tours. The site is on the east side of town. Come see the barn Larry the Cable Guy played in as a young man. The local Amish helped us refurbish the barn last year.

COUNTRY SCHOOL REUNION will be June 15, 2013 at the Museum Site. Bring a dish for pot luck and enjoy the day! The event was great last year! If you attended or taught or have an interest in country schools we hope to see you June 15.

The country school reuion was held June 9 and it was a great turn out. A good time was enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great day. Looking forward to the next reuion picnic.

The building in this photo is refered to as the Benz building, which was built in 1863. It is now used as a blacksmith shop, however it was the first school house for Pawnee City.
