The Patagonia Holiday Art Walk is starting to take shape!

We’re excited to share just a few of the talented artists and makers who have already committed to this year’s 24th Annual Patagonia Holiday Art Walk, co-sponsored by Patagonia Trading Post and Patagonia Lumber Co.

🎨 Heather Buton – 19 Nighthawk Designs

Artist Spotlight: Andrea Fleder

Creativity runs in the family! Andrea Fleder, daughter of local jewelry artist Jackie Fleder, brings her own distinctive style to the family tradition of handmade jewelry.

Andrea’s designs showcase genuine gemstones paired with delicate gold-filled chains and findings. Her pieces feature beautiful stones including tourmaline, garnet, amethyst, citrine, pearl, tanzanite, peridot, quartz, labradorite, and more.
From simple gemstone drops to colorful combinations of stones, each piece has its own unique character.

Her collection at Patagonia Trading Post includes necklaces and earrings ranging from understated and elegant to wonderfully colorful statement pieces.

It’s Feel Good Friday, and this week we’re celebrating the organizations that help make Patagonia such a special community!

The Patagonia Community Confab Ice Cream Social & Non-Profit Fair is a chance to meet some of our amazing local non-profit organizations, learn about the work they do, discover the services they offer, and spend a little time with friends and neighbors.

Fresh reads have arrived at Patagonia Trading Post! Whether you’re shopping for a little reader, a nature lover, or someone who appreciates a book that’s just a little unusual, we’ve got some fun new additions on the shelves.

New arrivals include the beautifully illustrated Gifts from Crows, Brandon James Scott’s The Skeleton and the Cat, Jon Klassen’s wonderfully quirky I Want My Hat Back and We Found a Hat, and the charming Charlie Mackesy books The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse and Always Remember.

For the grown-ups, we’ve also added Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher, Timothy Egan’s fascinating look at photographer Edward Curtis, plus the hilariously strange Crap Taxidermy by Kat Su. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. 😂

Artist Spotlight: Unearthed AZ

Local artist Kathryn Peña-Hilander creates unique, wearable art inspired by her love for the land. A former EMT, firefighter, and paramedic, Kathryn turned a jewelry-making hobby into Unearthed AZ so she could pursue her creativity while spending more time raising her three children.

Her handmade pieces feature polymer clay, resin, hand-stamped metals, and hypoallergenic materials, with designs ranging from colorful florals and desert-inspired pieces to snakes, succulents, hearts, and more.

We’re excited to have new stock and new designs from Unearthed AZ at Patagonia Trading Post. Stop in and find your favorite!

Artist Spotlight: Susan Corl, Patagonia, AZ

We have some wonderful new creations from local artist Susan Corl!

A Patagonia resident since 1987, Susan is a lifelong student and endlessly curious multidisciplinary artist who is always exploring something new. Her work ranges from handmade paper, fiber art and felting to whimsical mixed-media creations, each reflecting her love of texture, color, experimentation, and the natural world.

Her latest pieces include colorful handmade paper artwork, richly textured fiber creations, a wonderfully whimsical lizard and bead-adorned mirror, and some especially fun handmade cat toys. And those toys have already passed the most important quality-control test at Patagonia Trading Post: Oreo Approved! As you can see, he was more than happy to put one through its paces.

Susan once told us, “I have to sleep, so I can dream.” Looking at everything she continues to create, we believe her!

Artist Spotlight: Chistina Holland Designs - Tucson, AZ

We’re excited to share some beautiful new arrivals from Christina Holland Designs!

Christina is a Tucson-based artist, adventurer, and full-time jeweler whose work is inspired by nature, memory, and the materials she has collected throughout her life.

From childhood days exploring the Minnesota woods and her dad’s old car yard to the desert landscapes she now calls home, Christina finds inspiration everywhere. Her handcrafted designs combine beautiful stones, metals, texture, and organic forms to create jewelry that feels both earthy and wonderfully unique.

These newest pieces are a perfect example of Christina’s style, with luminous stones, striking natural colors, and distinctive handcrafted details.

The Patagonia Trading Post’s Local Non-Profit of the Week is:

D-S Rescue

This Feel Good Friday, we’re shining a spotlight on D-S Rescue, a Tucson nonprofit dedicated to giving horses in need a second chance.

Founded by Deanna Severance, D-S Rescue works to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses, including animals saved from serious cases of neglect and abuse. Their work doesn’t stop with the horses, either. Through miniature horse visits to nursing homes, schools, and therapy facilities, educational programs, care classes, and community outreach, they’re creating meaningful connections between people and animals throughout Southern Arizona.

With more than 28 years of hands-on horse experience, D-S Rescue believes in healing lives one heart at a time, helping rescued horses recover while sharing the comfort, companionship, and joy these incredible animals can bring to people.

We’re happy to recognize D-S Rescue this Feel Good Friday and the compassionate work they’re doing for both horses and our Southern Arizona community. 🐴💕

Artist Spotlight: Linda Morrison - Patagonia, AZ

We have some beautiful new arrivals from local artist Linda Morrison!

Linda is a mixed media artist whose work brings together color, texture, and imagination in wonderfully unexpected ways. Her pieces incorporate a variety of materials and techniques, creating artwork that ranges from vibrant wildlife and florals to colorful Southwestern scenes.

Linda shares her creative process with the community and maintains an active presence at art shows and festivals. Her dedication to experimentation and craftsmanship has earned her a loyal following among collectors and art lovers who appreciate the beauty and tactile quality of her work.

These newest arrivals are a great example of Linda’s distinctive style, including richly colored alcohol ink originals and a beautifully framed Southwestern piece. Each has its own personality, with layers of detail that make them even more interesting the longer you look.(We especially love her artwork done on music sheets! Super original and great for any and all music lovers!)
