In 1949, a group of enthusiastic art lovers started the Paso Robles Art Guild. In 1973, the Guild incorporated as the Paso Robles Art Association. The Association works with our members and our community to raise awareness and appreciation of art through education, community outreach, and the display of art. We actively promote art exhibits, classes, lectures, workshops, and offer members’ art for

sale in our gallery. We encourage artists and art lovers to interact and develop in a creative, supportive community. Our gallery is one of the many art galleries within Studios on the Park in historic Paso Robles, CA. The Paso Robles Art Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, ID # 77-0078624, offering ART FOR EVERYONE

We are fortunate to have Dale Evers as the Juror for this show. Dale is a cutting edge American sculptor and mixed media artist. His sculptures “Focus” and “Wings of Legend” are on display at 12th & Park Streets in Paso Robles. Dale has gone beyond pure sculpture to successfully blend the world of fine art and functional design. His ideas are manifested in Glass, Bronze and Steel works of art.

Register for the Mike Hernandez Plein Air Workshop. In this two day workshop, Mike will cover the important fundamentals of composition, design, color relationships, staging the light, atmospheric perspective, simplification, and shape design. Learn how to capture a rich sense of natural lighting and color while painting in gouache, oil, acrylic or pastels. Mike will be using gouache but can work in any of these media. Each day will start with a painting demo by Mike followed by students painting on location.Mike will work with each student and will give an overall critique at the end of the workshop.

Painting Locations for the Workshop:

Saturday May 16 – 10am-3pm – Mission San Miguel Arcangel, San Miguel – Lunch included

Saturday May 16 – 5pm-8pm – Pius Estates Winery, Paso Robles – Sunset painting - Light supper & Wine included

Sunday May 17 – 10 am-4pm – Old Nacimiento Blue Oak Woodland, Paso Robles – Lunch included

Lunch is included both days and supper is included on Saturday evening. Join us for some fun and adventures in painting!

Enrollment is limited to 20 students. $450 for PRAA members $475 for non-members
