Nestled in Brookside Park next to the historic Rose Bowl, Kidspace Children’s Museum is an industry leader in the field of informal, free choice learning whose mission is to nurture the potential of all children through kid-driven experiences, inspiring them to become joyful, active learners.
In its 40-year history, Kidspace has become known for seeking out new ways to bring children and families together to learn and play, serving over 5-million guests in the greater Los Angeles area since 1979. Located on nearly three and a half acres in Pasadena, California, Kidspace Children’s Museum has more than 40 hands-on exhibits, beautiful outdoor spaces, programs, and special events that are designed to encourage a child’s growth and development through exploration of natural environments, investigation in science, and artistic expression.
An incredible seed bed of learning and discovery, the purpose of a children’s museum is to inspire children to learn and grow, equip parents and teachers, and to be a safe place where learners of all abilities can do so at their own pace and focus on topics of interest to them. This is often referred to as “Free Range or Free Choice Learning.” What makes children’s museums different from a school is the approach to informal education, and the variety of both active and pretend play in an experiential setting. We believe in giving our guests hands-on experiences that are relevant and inspiring. Join our adventures!
