This very old photo of 419 Chestnut St in Paris IL was recently sent to us by Ann Foley Hamman. Her grandparents, T.A. and Jessie Trogdon Foley, lived in the house until Jessie died in 1944. This photo was taken long before the Foleys owned the house; they are not the unknown couple seated in front.

The north end of the west side of the Paris square, most likely circa 1937-1942. Looking at the business names I can decipher: Kook & Link Drugstore on the far right, then down Central to Grab-It-Here, Paris (something) Confectionery, Lincoln Theater, State Loan Co.
