Thank you so much to everyone who has already contributed 🌱cattails to the Miami County Kansas Historical Museum!

We still need a lot more green cattails to fully bring this project to life. Please make sure they are still green ✅when you pick them; our team will handle the necessary drying process once we receive them.

We want to extend a massive thank you to our grant funders, to Joshua Suetterfield with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma for providing the plans to create this incredible exhibit, to all our volunteers, and Gary, Donna, and Shannera McCoy for their dedicated hard work.

How to drop them off:
• Leave them directly in front of the museum.
• If you come by on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday and see my white truck☑️ 🛻 parked out front, feel free to load them right into the truck bed!

Thank you for helping us preserve and share our local history!

We have been working on 🔨🔨repairing the museum from the ⛈️storm that came through Paola several months ago.

Roofing 🛖repairs start this month of September by Dan Hensley Roofing Company. We have several other areas that will continue being repaired like windows, siding, light damaged and more. Wow, what damage storms can do!

With the ⛈️🌀storm damage, luckily our insurance should cover all the repairs except the 💰💰$25,000.00 deductible.

We are asking the community 😁and beyond to please ❤️help us with this cost. We are a 501 c 3 and any 💲amount will help. We appreciate all the support as we love being a free to all to visit Museum 😁
