The Birth of America...When Popcorn and Freedom Met

Yes, it is true. Popcorn and the freedom achieved by the Revolutionary War had a bit of a love affair. The deep historical relationship between Indigenous Americans, early settlers, and the popped grain we now call popcorn deepened as it transitioned into the open-fire snack of the Revolutionary War era.

Please join us on June 20 for some "popped fare" and listen to a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution tell true tales of history about the ancestors of area residents who fought in the Revolutionary War.
