Did You Know?
Mother’s Day has roots going back thousands of years—from ancient Greek and Roman celebrations honoring mother goddesses, to modern times in the U.S.

The Mother’s Day we celebrate today began in 1908, when Anna Jarvis honored her own mother, a peace activist and community caregiver. In 1914, it became an official holiday in the United States.
What started as a heartfelt tribute was meant to be personal, loving, and sincere—just like moms themselves.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures from Palm Harbor Museum !
