Sagamore Creative From local artist Anthony Stiso, Sagamore Creative's fine art prints focus on the peaceful ambience

Anthony Stiso is a native of the north shore area of Oyster Bay, NY, where he grew up surrounded by the enchanting natural beauty and charm of the Long Island town. From the scenic shoreline to the quaint shops and restaurants in town, Oyster Bay left an indelible impression on him, and many of those features are today the subject of his work. From a young age, Anthony nurtured a natural talent fo

r visual art, focusing on art classes ranging from photography, to drawing, painting and computer graphics. His passion for the arts led him to pursue a degree from design school, and those skills have served him in graphic design projects for top brands including Airbus, Cablevision, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Forest Stewardship Council and Canon. Today, Anthony still lives in Oyster Bay as a resident, and he works as an art director for a Long Island-based publishing firm. His work focuses on the peaceful ambience of familiar landmarks, forcing the viewer to focus on a scene that might otherwise be taken for granted. His process combines the three worlds of photography, computer graphics and painting.

Painting of Oyster Bay on 4th of July morning. The American Flag waves over the anchored boats and still water as the morning sun casts an orange glow on the landscape. Anyone from Long Island knows, 4th of July is always one of the hottest days of the year, this year was no exception. The humidity reduces visibility making Centre Island and Bayville, across the water, seem much lighter. Theodore Roosevelt park will soon be filled with visitors looking to catch fireworks later on in the night. But for now, Oyster Bay remains peaceful.
