We have officially closed our Facebook account.
Due to Facebook's unending barrage of half naked women and morally repugnant posts from accounts I don't follow nor have any desire to follow, as well as the lack of support in correcting the issue, I have said to hell with it and them.
Over the past several years I have tweaked every setting countless times, reported offensive posts, marked items as not interested, and even followed pages that I was actually interested in. Instead of showing me more of what I like, they show me repulsive content and liberal headlines. I am a conservative Christian and no longer wish to be part of the sick social experiment that is "social" media.
We will keep our Instagram account open for the moment, but will be closing it as well. After all, Zuckerberg owns them both...
We used to receive hundreds of likes on the two platforms. Over the last year, we literally only received ONE like on most every Facebook post. Instagram isn't much better. Progress, right?
If I spend half as much time creating art as I do sharing it on social media for absolutely no interaction, I could paint a hell of a lot more art and enjoy a better mental state.
