Over the last three days we've had over 200 second graders from Owosso schools, nine teachers from three different schools, and one eagle. Not a bad way to end the week.

Wilhelm, German Crown Prince, Crown Prince of Prussia (Friedrich Wilhelm Victor August Ernst) was born on May 6th, 1882. He was the eldest child of the last German emperor, Wilhelm II, and his consort Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. After the outbreak of the German Revolution in 1918, both Emperor Wilhelm II and crown prince Wilhelm abdicated the throne. On 13 November, the former crown prince fled Germany, crossed into the Netherlands at Oudvroenhoven and was later interned on the island of Wieringen. Wilhelm was a fan of James Oliver Curwood and his novels. When the Curwood family toured Europe in 1925 James Oliver visited Wilhelm. Several pictures exist from this visit.
