We wished Voices of Elmwood’s 19th season a goodnight and goodbye last night, as our actors performed their pieces for the last time against the backdrop of a vibrant sunset. 🌤️🪦

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year as we honored the incredible “voices” who were a part of the founding of our region over two centuries ago.

We hope that your time with us left you feeling inspired to continue to learn more about your own family history, the land you call home, and the people who helped shape the communities you’re a part of today.

The rain is expected to stop this evening, but it has left the cemetery grounds muddy and made parking there nearly impossible. Out of respect for the space, 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁❜𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Instead of running wagons every half hour, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 (performances to be held in the Wendell H. Ford Gallery), 122 E. 2nd Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

🎟️ The 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00 wagons' show will begin at 6:15pm.
🎟️ The 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, and 9:00 wagons' show will begin at 7:45pm.

If the new indoor show times do not work for you because your performance is either earlier or later than planned, please let us know so we can accommodate your needs.

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time to get everyone checked in and seated.

Please Note: You may transfer your ticket(s) to the Saturday, October 3, tent show at 6:00 p.m. To reserve your spot, please email [email protected] by 10:00 a.m. CST Saturday, October 3 (tomorrow). Seating is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

With the possibility of rain this weekend, please be aware of our rain protocol for Voices of Elmwood: 👇

‼️ In the event of heavy rain, all Voices of Elmwood performances will be moved to the Ford Government Gallery here at the museum. ‼️

The decision regarding whether Voices of Elmwood will remain at the cemetery or moved indoors will be made by 1pm on the day of the performances.

If the decision is made to relocate to the museum, ticket holders will be contacted by email and/or phone. Any changes in venue will also be posted here on Facebook.

Due to the difference in venues, wagon times will be consolidated into two different show times:

🎟️ The 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00 wagons' show will begin at 6:15pm.
🎟️ The 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, and 9:00 wagons' show will begin at 7:45pm.

We thank you for your understanding as we prepare for potential rain. Regardless of venue, we look forward to seeing you for our final weekend of VOE 2026!
