While in Chattanooga for IBMA World of Bluegrass, our Education Director, Randy Lanham, had the opportunity to visit the Chattanooga Autism Center and share how adaptive technology can make playing instruments more accessible.

Randy gifted the Center one of his auto-strum devices to support their music therapy program, helping create more opportunities for their clients.

We’re grateful to connect with this wonderful organization and look forward to learning and collaborating on new ways to make music accessible to everyone! 🎶

🎻 Join us Nov. 7 for John Lanham Jam Day!

From 10 AM to 2 PM, we’ll honor the life and legacy of John Lanham, a beloved old-time fiddler and grandfather of Randy and Barry Lanham.

This free event is open to the public, and musicians of all skill levels are welcome! Join us for a day of music, community, and celebrating the traditions that bring us together.

John spent his life sharing his love of old-time music by teaching others and performing at square dances, festivals, nursing homes, and special events. He taught his grandson, Randy Lanham, Education Director at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, to play the fiddle and introduced Barry Lanham to square dancing and clogging.

Today, Randy and Barry continue their granddad’s legacy by leading education programs and clogging classes at the Hall of Fame, helping keep traditional music and dance alive for future generations, just as John always encouraged them to do.
