Bringing World War II history to life and more at EAA AirVenture where you can walk back into time onto an Army Air Forces base in Italy, 1944 with the 340th Bomb Group of the 12th Army Air Forces. Each day, the Warbirds Living History Group educate the "Warbirds in Review" crowd, showcasing their authentic uniforms and flight gear prior to each presentation. The WLHG is made up of historians from

all over the world who come together for one week every year at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As an interpretive resource of EAA Warbirds of America, the group assembles a replica 12th Air Force 340th Bomb Group forward air base encampment display and provides authentically uniformed and equipped personnel for photo opportunities, forums, and other presentations. The camp further includes British and RCAF units, U.S. Airborne and a USO Camp Show contingent! Step back in time at the encampment, where you’ll get a glimpse of the living conditions experienced by the brave men and women who served during WWII. Walk through a fascinating display of vintage tents, check out the equipment, weapons, artifacts and vehicles, and interact with living history personnel. It’s a time warp every Oshkosh visitor should experience!
