Pretty cool event from our friends at Adams County Winery celebrating Africa this weekend. We were happy to put together a raffle prize featuring some of our chocolates. Africa is a huge exporter of cacao, and of course, many elephants live there; how could we not?!

Gas prices may be up, but Gettysburg is still an easy getaway. Of course, Mister Ed's makes it even sweeter! We’re within a comfortable one-tank drive of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. Trade traffic, screens, and packed schedules for candy and elephants, plus rolling farmland, small-town charm, divine dining, and family-friendly vibes. What better way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US?!

Do you know Ronnie? He stands sentinel at the entrance to our museum. Ronnie was a gift from the staff at Giant grocery store in Richmond, VA, where Ed Gotwalt served as store manager in the 1970s. They knew he was headed up to Gettysburg to start a new business, Mister Ed’s: The Territory’s Most Unusual General Store. They never dreamed Ronnie would become a centerpiece of an elephant museum more than 50 years later.

Golf tournament season is back, and that means our ridiculously addictive (and healthy) fresh roasted jumbo peanuts are hitting the links to support some amazing causes. Don't worry, you don't have to be a golf pro to get in on the action...we're roasting nuts like it's our job (oh wait, it is) a couple of times a week️. They're ready in different roasts to pick up in store or online.
