We're counting down the days until Free Family Art Night (NEXT Friday from 5:30 to 7:00pm inside the ). Using oil pastels, families members will work together to draw large flowers inspired by American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Our lovely Linda King and marvelous Miss Emma will provide guidance as needed. This FREE drop-in program requires no registration or art experience. All supplies provided and all ages welcome. Don't miss the bus to Bok Tower Gardens! We only have about 10 open seats remaining for our June 3rd day trip to Lake Wales. Our visit will consist of a garden tour guided by their horticultural specialist, the 1:00pm daily carillon concert, an optional group lunch at the Blue Palmetto Café in the visitor center, and plenty of free time for sketching or exploring.

Nestled in the heart of the 7.5 lush acres you'll find an enchanting 20-room Mediterranean-style mansion that transports visitors back in time to the 1930s. Originally named “El Retiro,” meaning “retreat” in Spanish, the home was built for Charles Austin Buck, a Bethlehem Steel executive. To preserve this architectural, cultural, and historic landmark, El Retiro was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Tours are available (at an additional cost).

Our private chartered bus will depart from OMAM promptly at 8:30am and will return back to OMAM by 6:00pm. The (non-refundable) trip registration fee ($60 OMAM Museum/Guild members; $70 Future Members) covers transportation, Ruth's discussions during the ride, and the guided garden tour. Since Bok Tower is part of the American Horticultural Society, all of our current members will be able to show their OMAM membership card to receive free admission. Those without AHS reciprocal benefits will need to pay admission to Bok Tower upon arrival ($20). Participants are responsible for paying for their own lunch, additional tours, and other expenses. Pray lend us thine ear! OMAM has two special calls for 𝔒𝔫𝔠𝔢 𝔘𝔭𝔬𝔫 𝔞 𝔗𝔦𝔪𝔢: 𝔗𝔥𝔢 ℜ𝔢𝔫𝔞𝔦𝔰𝔰𝔞𝔫𝔠𝔢, an interactive experience taking place this fall (October 10 - November 15) at the museum. This festive fundraiser organized by OMAM Guild encompasses five weeks of art, theater, and enchantment inspired by the works of William Shakespeare to raise critical funds to support the museum's mission. 1 ) CALL FOR PERFORMERS / ORIGINAL POSTER ART: Visual artists are encourage to submit original work inspired by the Renaissance. If selected, their artwork will be featured on the official Once Upon A Time poster (with artist credit) and will be incorporated into other printed/digital materials to promote all related events. Submission Deadline for Poster Art is July 10. Musicians, actors, puppeteers, dancers, spoken word artists, and other interactive/roaming characters have the opportunity to participate at one or more of the Once Upon A Time signature events. Submission Deadline for Performers is August 16.

2) CALL FOR EXHIBITION ITEMS: Renaissance inspired/influenced works of fine art, fashions, accessories, decorative objects, and more. Submission Deadline: August 16.
