The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope officially launched into the cosmos on August 30th!

Roman will look at billions of cosmic objects to explore how planets, stars and galaxies form and develop over time. By taking never-before-seen pictures of the universe, Roman will help scientists explore the areas of dark matter, exoplanets and infrared astrophysics.
Roman will work together with NASA’s Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes, marking a new era of space exploration will ultimately help reveal the universe’s greatest mysteries.

At Orlando Science Center, we help visitors of all ages better understand why space exploration is so important through a program named “Science Matters: The Case for Space.” It’s through this initiative that OSC sparks curiosity and encourages everyone to ask questions that’ll evolve their understanding of our universe and our place in it.
