Well its been a interesting year, Today was outstanding, sunny skies, with 186 cars registered and with the Bikes and Kids Show entries we were right at 200 total entries for our rescheduled 9th Annual Veterans Memorial Car and Bike Show.

Who woulda thought it woulda felt like August in October with temps hitting the low 90s and we had plenty of wind today also.

I want to send a huge thank you out to Nathan Butler, I know i'm the guy behind the scenes doing the book work, answer calls, doing promotion, and organization but he is the man power behind these events and without him they wouldn't happen.

I also want to thank my Mom and Dad, Bentley Yanak, Mark Walker, Mike Butler, Hershel Roach, and Travis Ulven for all your help today! (If i forgot someone I'm sorry, i'm exhausted while i type this lol). And let's not forget all our sponsors. All of you helped make this event possible today.

Also a special thank you to Monona County Fairboard, Allen Septic & Portables and West Stingley/Boomer Radio for all your help with making it possible to reschedule this event.

Last but not least I want to thank all those who came out to enter a vehicle, made a donation to the museum, the vendors who supported us, and the spectators who came to look at the show, visit the museums or buy from our vendors today. Thank you all.

Don't forget while you are at the 9th Annual Car & Bike Show this Saturday, October 10th you can go check out all 3 of the great displays and buildings in the Onawa Museum Complex, they will all be open and are free to tour, but they do appreciate donations so they can continue to operate and grow!

Due to the storms Friday we had a tree fall on our fence and the treee had to be removed. The positive side is there is a better view of the wigwam, depot and caboose. (Photos by Duane)

This has been an extremely tough decision to make but with all of the rain received this week and a chance for more today/tonight we are making the decision to postpone the Car & Bike Show until Saturday, October 10th.

I know it might upset a few people but with the money that the people invest in their vehicles we don't want to take the chance.
More details will be posted later in the week!

Until then.......THE SWAP MEET WILL GO ON, WE ARE OPEN TODAY TIL 4PM AND WE WILL BE OPEN 8AM TIL 3PM SUNDAY!!!!
