Cornerstone Café & Gallery: Changing Lives One Cup at a Time. Looking for a special place to hold your next event?

Located in downtown Onarga, the Cornerstone Café & Gallery is the perfect place to meet friends and relax with a cup of coffee, iced drink, or smoothie. Guests can enjoy breakfast from 8am-10:45am, and lunch from 11am-1pm each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Cornerstone Café is part of the Nexus-Onarga Family Healing vocational program, providing unique employment-training opportunities for our older youth in business management, customer service, and barista skills. Through the Nexus-Onarga Grand Prairie School, youth are also able to participate in trainings for public health certifications. The Upper Room is available for meetings, gatherings, showers, classes, and even wedding receptions. Amenities include an AV system and access to a private restroom when the Café is closed. If you are interested in being a featured artisan, looking to reserve the Upper Room, or just have questions about the Café, contact Archer Christie, Manager of the Cornerstone Café by phone at 815-268-5848 or by email at [email protected]

Thanks to everyone who joined us Saturday for our first Food & Art Showcase at the Cornerstone Café! It was a unique opportunity to highlight the cafe's learning environment and celebrate creativity with the community! Our student employees loved testing their culinary skills with new recipes and sharing the fruits of their labor with guests! It was also exciting to fill our gallery walls with colorful and inspiring artwork from local artists and our Nexus Family Healing - Onarga Campus Grand Prairie School students. Make sure to stop in and enjoy the exhibit now through November 6th!
We look forward to more events like this and welcome feedback to strengthen our community engagement!
