This September, we're proud to participate in Heartland Honors 9/11 as we recognize the service and sacrifice of our region's first responders.

From September 1–11, all EMS, firefighters, law enforcement personnel, and their families can enjoy $10 general admission per person to the Kiewit Luminarium.

No badge or ID is required—simply let our team know you're a first responder, and we'll gladly extend the discount.

A few weeks ago we chatted with Bill Glass, MS, Artistic Director at iEXCEL UNMC on the advancements made in the medical illustration world thanks to tech advancements made in the last 30 years. When Bill's career began, his 2D medical illustrations were made with pencil, ink, and watercolor. It was amazing to see how far the field has come!

Prepare yourself for YUCK! on Sunday, September 13 🤮 POP by Kiewit Luminarium for a family-friendly themed day for the curious, the brave, and the easily grossed out. 👀

🧠 Dissect a sheep’s brain, investigate a real owl pellet, meet some creepy crawly critters, uncover the science behind movie vomit and giant pimples, dissect bugs, befriend ticks and parasites, and get up close and personal with animal skulls, pelts, and s**t. 🐍🪱

Turns out, there’s a lot more science behind your daily deposit than you might think. From your stomach to your intestines, your body is basically running a very sophisticated food-processing plant—and sometimes, what comes out the other end can tell us a lot about what went in. 🌽🔬

And humans aren’t the only ones leaving clues behind. 👀 At Yuck! you'll be able to match up s**t to the animal + discover all other types science that will make you go "EWWW!" 🤢

✏️ What You’ll Do:

🧪 Mentor and support museum educators (Luminators)
🧑‍🔬 Facilitate engaging science demos + Maker Space activities
🎒 Support floor operations and school field trips
🌈 Collaborate with community partners on educational programming

If you're passionate about hands-on learning, love collaborating with others, and believe science should be joyful, interactive, and accessible for everyone, we'd love to meet you.

💵 $45,000-47,000 annual salary
