Folk Arts at WSAC

Founded in 1991, the Folk Arts Program is a program of the Washington State Arts Commission, which works to preserve, present, and protect the traditional arts of Washington’s many diverse cultures. It aims to document, identify, honor, and perpetuate these traditions by encouraging public awareness and appreciation of folk arts.

The Folk & Traditional Arts in the Parks Program (FTAPP) is a collaboration between the WA State Parks & Recreation Commission and the Folk Arts Program of the WA State Arts Commission. The Cinco de Mayo celebration held at Lake Osoyoos State Park in Oroville, WA, is one of the events sponsored by Folk & Traditional Arts in the Parks.
