All hail John Waters King of filth!

Daniel’s new art is going up at The Brotherhood Lounge today!

I am always amazed at his work. This piece is several layers of intricate stencils Daniel designs and cuts out. He's been working on this at our studio for weeks. He even built the custom box frame in our garage! If you're not familiar with his work be sure to check him out on instagram at @ daoverstreet (he's not on FB).

And if you're not familiar with John Water then honey, what are you waiting for? Don't be a drag, support drag and go watch a damn movie.

Olympia Arts Walk is just around the corner, and Dog Bog Studios, along with all 4 other studios in the Olympia Knitting Mills, are opening their spaces this year with guest artists, art sales, and, of course, lots of art.

At Dog Bog, we are sharing our space with two rad guest artists, so we thought we would introduce them, starting with Izais Nunes(._.lead).

Izais Nunez, a talented 19-year-old artist, is known for his expressive style and specializes in creating acrylic paintings and charcoal drawings. After completing an internship at in Kilauea, Kauai, Izais has recently returned to his hometown of Olympia. He is eagerly looking forward to beginning his art studies in Bellingham, WA, this coming fall.

I met with my friends Tom and Erik today and had a great chat about art and projects. You may have seen Tom around at art events. He is a bit mysterious, but his story is quite fascinating. I can't be the one to tell you, though; you'll have to ask him. Let's say it has to do with a cowboy, an idea, and a cultural icon. Intrigued? Stop by his next art show at at 525 Colombia Street SW on August 18th and chat with him yourself! His work is colorful, bright, bold, and must-see in person. If you can't make it, his show will be up until September 18th.
