History isn't always something from long ago—sometimes it's happening right before our eyes!

Here's a little history in the making: Town of Webb Historical Association board member Hans Schmid and his son, Hanson, proudly showing off their one-of-a-kind creation at the 2026 Inlet Car Show.

What a remarkable car they've built together! We especially love the ironing boards used as the running boards—a clever touch that adds plenty of character and creativity.

Congratulations to Hans and Hanson on their incredible craftsmanship!

Another full house for our Local History and Stories Summer Series held at the Old Forge Library! Bruce Steltzer gave an interesting and informative lecture on the William Covey Memorial Bridge at Twitchell Lake. Next thursday, Ray Letterman will talk on "The Dams and Reservoirs of the Fulton Chain" Hope to see you there!
