🌽 Earlier this week, we went out to the field to check on the popcorn growing at The Local Buzz that we will use to make our Gingerbread Popcorn.

The GFWC Women's Club of Odessa works on Christmas in Odessa year round, and this is just one of the things we’ve been up this week behind the scenes.

Be sure to check out this video announcing that we will not only have Gift Kits, but also Ready-To-Eat Bags this year! 🎁🍿 The gift kits were a huge hit when we debuted them last year, and we’re excited to bring them back as well as bags of gingerbread popcorn to snack on while you enjoy all the festivities around town on December 5th. 🎄

The Women's Club of Odessa held its first Christmas in Odessa 62 years ago as a way to help fund college scholarships for local students.

Most people think of Christmas in Odessa as a great way to start off the holiday season, but it also serves another very important purpose . . . to provide educational scholarships for high school seniors residing in the Appoquinimink School District.

The GFWC Women's Club of Odessa who runs Christmas in Odessa is proud to have awarded $300,000+ in scholarships over the past 60+ years.

We could not have done this without the support of our townspeople, volunteers, community organizations and private businesses! If you would like to be a 2026 sponsor, please reach out now. The deadline to be recognized in our printed tour booklet is 9/15/26.

It's never too early to get excited about the 62nd Annual Christmas in Odessa 🏠✨

Homeowners are already registering to participate, and we're looking forward to showcasing another wonderful collection of private homes and public spaces on Saturday, December 5, 2026.

The countdown is on!!! Just about 6 months until our 62nd Annual Christmas in Odessa on Saturday, December 5, 2026!

Planning is well underway, and we're thrilled to share that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be joining us for photos on a festive holiday set designed by The Party Girls LLC. Their beautiful work helped make last year's event extra special, and we're excited to have them back again this year to bring all the holiday magic to our community.

We can't wait to share more details in the months ahead and kick off the holiday season with all of you right here in Odessa. 🎄🎅📸✨
