What We Are

Opened in 1976 as part of the nation's bicentennial celebration, Heritage Park Village Museum provides a look back into the history and culture of Oceanside from 1885 - 1920. When you first enter the beautifully landscaped park, you'll see our large, lovely gazebo sitting front and center, perfect for events such as weddings, concerts, reunions and more. Across from the jail sits our “Emporium” which houses the old-time Post Office along with other artifacts. The Park is also home to the North County Model Railroad Society’s Train Depot where an impressively-detailed model of 1950's Oceanside awaits your inspection as well as an interactive “Trains For Kids” room.
