Oregon by Heart OPEN Studio Annex tomorrow and Saturday October 4, 11AM til 3PM. Art supplies, easels, blank canvases, frames, and artwork by local artist Sherri Collister McDowell. Originals, prints and cards in a variety of sizes. Focus on the colors of fall in Oakridge Oregon! The first in a series of open studio events from now until mid December, weather permitting.

Just 5 days until the Three Artist Pop Up art show! In addition to original paintings, there will be note cards, prints and even a large canvas print! My work at the show will be about Oakridge/Westfir/High Prairie. Like this 9x12 inch original of the winter red alder along Salmon Creek by the Fish Hatchery. Saturday March 16. from 11AM til 2PM. Oakridge is such a beautiful place to live that I want to share it with as many people as I can. It's fun to make these small prints of my original paintings. The cardstock has the look of an elegant frame that can be placed in a wall frame as an elegant mat, or clipped into an expensive looking envelope as an elegant note card. Both will be available at my pop up sale in February.

The first issue of Oregon by heART magazine will not be printed. I have a few copies left and they will be available at the February 3 pop up sale. In addition to my own work, there is an in-depth feature on Lori McMahon and her brilliant windows. There are some great photos of these windows!

I've been working since October on a commission for paintings of the Oregon Coast. Decided to work bigger, and I really like that feeling of stepping into a painting. I am on the homestretch now, the deadline was January 6, 2024, so I'm confident of meeting that -- my third ever commission. It is nerve wracking but really makes me step up my game. Oh yeah, I am much better at controlling the painting panic ha ha.
