How great is this!!!

A fossil in a display case can still stop you in your tracks. It takes you right back to school trips, county museums, and the day you first realized how much ground this part of the country has covered.

This little museum mixes ancient bones, local history, and the kind of finds that make you lean in a little closer. One minute you’re looking at prehistoric life, the next you’re thinking about the people who settled out here and held onto their stories.

Places like this do a quiet job, but a good one. They keep the past from slipping away into dust and memory. I’m glad there are still doors you can walk through and come out feeling a little more connected to where you are. 👇🏻

Exciting things happening!!!

Exciting things are happening at Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park!

Construction on a new visitor center started this week, and we're thrilled to see this project move from vision to reality. As work continues over the coming months, you'll likely notice construction equipment and activity near the parking area and trailheads.

Don't worry, the park will remain open throughout construction. Just be sure to respect construction fencing and avoid work areas while you're visiting.

Thanks for your patience as we invest in the future of this incredible place. We can't wait for you to see what's ahead in early 2027!
