Our studios are designed for fine artists who are actively pursuing exhibiting their work in professional gallery settings. We envision NFS to be a space where artists create, teach, learn, and collaborate.

Monica Guillory is in the invitational figurative exhibit FAMILIAR STRANGERS opening today at Manna Gallery in Oakland!

In a time when identity is constantly performed and revised, seven Bay Area figurative artists show the shifting relationships between memory, identity, and image. The works embrace a deliberate ambiguity, reflecting the blur of digital culture and the subjectivity of observation.

WELCOME Andi White to Studio 3!

Andrea “Andi” White builds Tiffany-style stained glass incorporating blown glass sheets that she creates. Her joyful works invite us to slow down and feel the small flashes of wonder that make a life feel lived. She sees glass as a vehicle to work with other artists and media and likes to focus on the stories we carry, female empowerment, resilience, and becoming.

In a partnership with Monarch Glass in Kansas City, Missouri, she creates original hand-blown sheet glass which she brings back to California to build into her pieces. “That collaboration enables me to develop an “art on art on art” effect- where the character of the blown glass becomes a second voice inside the final work- amplifying light, texture, and emotional impact.”

Andi’s background is colorful like her glass. She has a PhD in biochemistry and was a guitarist and singer in the local band Six Hits Later. She says, “I’m drawn to systems—how parts connect, how light moves through structure, and how precision can make space for magic.”

In March 2026, Andi was the featured artist at Berkeley’s Stained Glass Garden where you can find her hand blown Irid Glass Dreams Butterfly Glass.
