Feeding the Artist Within concludes its Spring series on Friday, June 7, 2013 at J. Posh Design Studio with Part 3: An Evening of Prosperity and Poetry. The series was birthed last year during Artist Fusion Friday, a first Friday monthly informational, community-building network, showcase and collective art gallery where talented artists fuse, share their work, and ideas with other art lovers.


"Feeding the Artist Within" in collaboration with J. Posh Design Studios is a series dedicated to the nourishment of the soul and authentic self that longs to be inspired and expressed,” says Aries Jordan, Poet, Author and Co-creator. “When we tell the truth of who we are, dare to remove the shame and guilt from our stories, then are we able to recognize that we deserve prosperity and abundance. NOW that is Feeding the Artist Within.”


All welcome on the mic. If you secretly have been writing Poems, dramatic readings, songs, comedy, works under construct, dramatic and simple lessons learned about prosperity; this is your chance to come out to Part 3 of Feeding the Artist Within: An Evening of Prosperity and poetry.

“The main thing that we are exploring is prosperity,” said Jordan. “Throughout the series we told the truth and had the courage to share our stories, so what’s next? Prosperity! The final piece of the series is about a celebration of our brilliance as artists and what we have overcome and where we going. It’s about calling forth prosperity of mind, body, soul and cash flow. Join us and others as we feed the artist within!”

• Featured poets
• Open mic
• Doors Open at 7:00pm
• Program starts 7:30pm
Suggested $5 donation requested upon entry

Next Feeding the Artist Within Series will be restarting this Fall, 2013

No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
We need arts education to train young people to comprehend innovative, boundary-breaking art. Instead, the purpose is salvation. Some students don’t fit the NCLB regime and other subjects don’t inspire them. Talented but offbeat, they sulk through algebra, act up in the cafeteria, and drop out of school. The arts “catch” them and pull them back, turning a sinking ego on the margins into a creative citizen with “a place in society.”
