If one artist votes for Trump, your a fu***ng as***le!

The Department of State of the United States has removed a work by Kehinde Wiley that it commissioned for the US embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and that the current ambassador recently described as a symbol of “globalist and woke ideologies”. A senior official for the State Department says it is now exploring the legality of deaccessioning the painting, Young Artists After Siamesas 1960 (2015), which was commissioned through the Art in Embassies programme and paid for with taxpayer funds.

Title: Medicine Cabinet
Medium: Mixed Media, Wood Construction, Assemblage

Built around a diptych painted during a period of upheaval, Medicine Cabinet transforms the familiar domestic object into a shrine of rupture and reckoning. Bottles of medication, children’s toys, a puppet, an animal syringe, and fragments of everyday life crowd the surface, relics of pain, humor, and survival. The words “F**K OFF” blaze across the panels like a refusal to be neatly diagnosed or contained.

Created while the artist was living in his studio and navigating divorce, the piece confronts the tension between internal struggle and external judgment.
