Back to school means it's time to start planning Scout Trips!🎒🍂 Scout leaders, mark your calendars — Scouts Day at the Joseph Priestley House Museum is Saturday, September 26th, and all scouts are welcome.

The garden is in bloom at the Joseph Priestley House!🌸 Take a stroll through history and see where the story of an American scientist, minister, and Founding Father comes to life.

Tours run Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm, through November 15th. Walk-ins welcome — no reservation needed!

School tours and special tours are also available upon request. Bring your service dog along, too — we have an outdoor area just for them. 🐾

In case you missed it: Susquehanna River Valley put together a great "History Comes Alive" video for their America250PA series, spotlighting Northumberland's own Joseph Priestley — the man who discovered oxygen. He fled persecution in England and made this town his home in 1794, and his house and lab still stand here today as the Joseph Priestley House Museum. Worth the watch! 🧪

Our friend Kato recently stopped by to explore our walk-through pollinator garden, and it looks like he had a wonderful time enjoying the flowers and open space. 🐾

Did you know? While house tours are offered every weekend from 1:00–4:00 p.m., our beautiful grounds and pollinator gardens are open for visitors to enjoy anytime. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll, a chance to observe pollinators, or a pet-friendly place to stretch your legs, we'd love to welcome you.
