Parade documents have a deadline we are working on this now !!
please read and let me know if you are participating
children need permission on this please
ALL participants MUST enter Broad Street from Dolphin Avenue and proceed to check-in location as directed by staff and signage. After check-in, parade volunteers will direct you to your lineup location (which will be determined by the color-coded placard).
The parade route is Jackson Avenue to Shore Road, to Mill Road (across Route 9) to Burton Avenue, ending at the Burton Avenue Fire Station.
MAINTAINING YOUR DISTANCE DURING THE PARADE:
Each entry is asked to keep a safe distance from other participants.
Please do your best to keep the parade moving, from start to finish. If you need help during the parade, please seek out a police officer for assistance.
BE ADVISED IN ADVANCE - ALL motorcyclists, and anyone age 17 or under on a bicycle, e-bike, scooter, etc. MUST wear a helmet in accordance with state law.
PLEASE – DO NOT THROW CANDY OR OTHER OBJECTS
Due to safety concerns, primarily the risk of children running into the street to retrieve the candy or other items, and potentially being struck by a parade vehicle, NO throwing of candy is permitted. While we understand throwing candy is a long-standing tradition at some parades, safety considerations outweigh the tradition.
