We’re at Loon for Myths & Legends of the Northfield Raid. Earl Weinmann, recipient of the Joseph Lee Heywood Distinguished Service Award, and Kevin Dahle, both experts in the events that unfolded on that day, will discuss and answer any questions you might have. We were greeted by Towns people and Raiders as we entered.
Thank you Loon!

Archive Adventures- Here’s a note from historian Russ Swanson-“Here is an article from the September 14, 1876, Rice County Journal that mentions the duster and also demonstrates the writer's sense of humor at the end..lol

Note the detailed description of the Grain Sack that the robbers also left inside the bank with the initials H.C.A. This would also be a cool addition for the museum to have one made. I would like to know where the gang got this grain sack from and who did it belong to. H.C.A. is most likely someone's initials as it was common practice back then to have your initials sewn on the sacks so that one could drop it off at the feed store, then pick it up later and know which one was yours.”
