Have you stopped in to see “Menagerie” and “Pickin’ the Ridge” yet? The Kulynych and Main Gallery exhibitions both feature Northwest Artists’ Exhibition award-winning artists: Rob “Gonzo” Wolverton, Matt Crinkley, Keegan Watson and Olivia Froelich!

“Menagerie” and “Pickin’ the Ridge” are currently on display through October 21st.

Our condolences to the Jenkins and Eller Families and friends as Linda Eller was dearly loved here at Wilkes Art Gallery. We have missed her friendship, instruction and laughter the past couple of years. She had a tremendous heart for others, including her students here. For years, Linda taught traditional basket weaving here and was a featured artisan in our gift shop.

With recent learning of her passing, we deeply appreciate the kindness of the Mountain High Basketmakers Guild for their donation to help continue the art of weaving and basketmaking for our youth. Linda would be honored by your gift to WAG.

A highlight from today’s Town of North Wilkesboro, NC Time Capsule Burial Ceremony at Wilkes Art Gallery. Thank you to North Wilkesboro Commissioner for all your hard work in making a wonderful presentation for the future. We are honored to the be keeper of such an important piece of our community’s preservation. The time capsule is buried on the front right side of Wilkes Art Gallery to be opened October 9, 2076.

We are so honored to be the keeper of the Town of North Wilkesboro, NC Time Capsule—thank you to all who were able to join together as a community and celebrate. Our sincere thanks to North Wilkesboro Commissioner Andrew Palmer for all his hard work in curating a wonderful collection of our past and present day North Wilkesboro and Wilkesboro downtowns and Wilkes County culture for the future generations to unearth and treasure. Many thanks to all who wrote letters, shared materials, products and helped contribute to this monumental piece of history in the making. The time capsule is buried on the right front side of Wilkes Art Gallery for its safe keeping and future reveal on Friday, October 9, 2076. We hope to see there! 🇺🇸
