Marvelous Metamorphoses
Live Performance for Children of all ages!
10:30–11:30am
Marvelous Metamorphoses unravels to present through live music and the art of puppetry the bizarre and beautiful transformations in our world. In this outdoor performance we dance & sing our way through these cycles and celebrate them for our sustained joy and ecological health of this planet.
Art Activities for Young Artists (All Ages)
Throughout the day, our skillful and inspiring instructor leads participants in a creative and fun art project.

Brigid Kennedy talks about her paintings that present a new way of seeing the “everyday” in her current show In Plain Sight. Donna Namnoum reveals how her ceramic sculptures and vessels are inspired by the natural world to create imaginative, otherworldly objects in Nature: Glazed and Fired.

Teen Kawaii Budgie Bird Workshop (Ages 13 & up)
Monday, February 16, 12:30-2:30pm
Explore the playful world of kawaii (cute!) design while learning needle felting techniques. In this hands-on workshop, teens will be guided step by step through the process of creating an adorable, cartoon-inspired felt animal sculpture. All safe and user-friendly materials are supplied.

We kicking off SCHOOL BREAK PROGRAMS at the Hammond. Make your winter break something special!

Celebrate School Break: African Safari–Land of Giants
For ages 6 and up
February 18, Wednesday, 1-4pm

Come to the Hammond Museum during your Winter Recess and embark on an exciting African Safari led by Chris Evers of Animal Embassy! Join us for a live animal adventure and meet animals from Africa, the Land of Giants. Naturalist and guide Chris Evers will introduce us to live African Dwarf Hedgehogs, an African Bull Frog, a Dumeril’s Boa Constrictor, an African Crested Porcupine, and more. After our journey, we will refresh ourselves with a tasty snack, make a craft project, and settle in for some wonderful stories. Spaces are limited.
