The Pre-ANAC judging is in the books - thanks to Pat Marsh for being our judge doing an excellent job. Here are the results:
Best of Show went to Cathy Foster of Greeley for her still life photograph titled “Still Life #1,” featuring objects in soft earth tones. Cathy also had another photograph, “Summer Splendor,” qualify for the state show.
Also advancing are Sherian Craft with her watercolor “Blue Bicycle,” Sarah Hansen with her mixed media piece “Spring Tranquility” and her acrylic “Phoenix,” symbolizing strength and rebirth, and Peggy Alloway with her mixed media piece “Patch Work. Elaine Asper will also have two oil paintings moving on to state, “Prairie Bouquet” and “Meditation.” “Meditation” also received the club’s theme award this year for spirituality. Peggy Alloway’s acrylic “View from the Barn” was selected as the state alternate.
All the entries will remain on display at the Main Street Gallery for several weeks before heading on to the state competition, so be sure to stop in and enjoy the wonderful variety of artwork on display.
