Our story is incomplete without Mr. Walker—both in the artifacts that line our walls and in the very heart of what was started here.

A veteran, master craftsman, and respected community elder, Joe dedicated his life to traveling throughout Africa, preserving its history, and passing that rich heritage down to future generations. Today, his collection—featuring hand-carved wooden sculptures, authentic masks, and ritual objects—has a permanent home in our gallery, continuing his lifelong mission to educate, inspire, and connect.

Left of Center is pleased to present Threads of Expression, an exhibit by AQE, ArtQuiltsEtc. Celebrating all art forms of traditional and contemporary fabric and fiber art as a continuum of unique and limitless form of human expression. AQE is an alliance of creative artists, colleagues, and patrons throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The organization fosters support and opportunities for artists, designers and practitioners in the fields of quilting, fiber art, textiles, mixed media and fine crafts. The variety and diversity of creativity and innovation among members is central to the organization’s identity. These many “threads of expression” and wide variety of mediums bind our members together. Featuring art quilts, fiber art, embroidery, textile design, weaving, basketry, crocheting, collage, macrame, gourds, polymer clay, dolls, and more.

Two weeks left to see “Revelations in Art Therapy”

An Exhibition of Artwork Curated by Professor Dennis Martinez of Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah

On view until August 29, 2026

The exhibit encapsulates varied works by artists, teachers, students, and inmates that Martinez has worked with. These visual creations personify thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions. Each experience is unique, and communicates through any and every dynamic of art form.

Two local exhibitions you won’t want to miss:

🌟 “Elysian Dimensions” is a traveling exhibition featuring the work of Nevada artist and CSN alumna Julia Gonzalez Hall.

Through vibrant color, expressive movement, and layered abstract forms, Hall explores the delicate balance between chaos and order, creating immersive works that invite personal interpretation and reflection. Inspired by her cultural heritage and multidisciplinary artistic practice, her paintings open a space for viewers to consider identity, emotion, and connection through the language of abstraction.

On view at the CSN Charleston Campus Student Union Gallery through October 31, 2026, before traveling to the Henderson and North Las Vegas campuses. Admission is free and open to the public.

🌟 “Game Changers” features the work of Saundra Lyle with work from DPAC art students. Now on view through December 18th. Free and open to the public with an appointment.

Saundra’s work often features portraiture in vivid color in honor of her own heroes and inspirations. You may recognize some of the faces in this exhibit if you too have been inspired by one of the many game changers that have come through Left of Center Art Gallery.

Left of Center Art Gallery is hosting a FREE Craft Actor’s Workshop from July 22 to August 12, 2026!

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced performer looking to sharpen your technique, this intergenerational space is open to everyone ages 18 and up.
