The “RHODE ISLAND COMPUTER MUSEUM” mission is Inspiring young people for the future workforce by Warehouse is 3 miles from the Learning Lab on Compass Circle.

Looking for a fun, engaging learning experience this fall? We are so excited to announce that we will be offering “3D Printing, Coding, and Design” through Coventry Recreation Department!

In this class, you will create unique, personalized 3D models using a web based 3D modeling tool called BlocksCAD! You will bring your ideas to life using blocks-based coding, and receive a complimentary 3D print once class is over!

We’ve lost an icon. Margaret Hamilton, a computer science pioneer best known for her work at MIT leading development of the flight software for the Apollo missions to the moon, has died at 90. Yesterday was Amiga day. Earlier we had repaired printed circuit board damage on DAN-II's Amiga 4000 and were able to get the system to boot AmigaOS. We still needed to repair the audio output. There are some really great tools available for following traces on the printed circuit board, and full schematics are available. Using the tools we eventually found a damaged trace that was supposed to feed power to the audio amplifier. It works great after adding a "bodge" wire around the damaged trace.
