Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School

Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School The boat building school was founded in 1989 and has members from several nearby counties. The school is now located in the North East Community Park.

We meet every Tuesday night from 7-9:30pm at the boat school located across from the Upper Bay Museum in the Northeast Town Park. Over the years, we have held classes in the old post office building in Havre de Grace, as well as the Seneca cannery building.

Teen boats 2025 - Day 4 - HOT! As the guys trimmed up the tops and ends, the teens sanded the insides! The grab handles were installed, and two coats of almond were painted on the interiors. Seats were also made. Tomorrow will be much cooler, and the color coats will be painted on the exteriors, paddles and seats.

Better late than never! Update on some boat school items! Susan is close to finishing the MArtha Lewis model, a couple other models in the model shop. The Whirlwind has a steering wheel and a windshield and the Chestnut Bob's Special is done.
