And with that, it is over!
Whew! Over 4,250 people showed up today - and that is just on museum property! That doesn't even include everyone across the tracks waiting for Big Boy to show up!
We could not have done this without the help of everyone in the area! We would like to thank EVERYONE for making this event a safe and fun one!
We would like to give a huge shout out to these local agencies who helped us with the logistical work of bringing so many people out all at once. We extend a tremendous THANK YOU!! to all of the following agencies who helped out today:
• Carson Chesley & C and C Auctioneers
• North East Borough
• North East Township
• North East Police Department
• PA State Police
• Norfolk Southern Police
• North East Fire Department Fire Police
• North East Public Safety Advisory Commission
• Crescent Hose Company
• Fuller Hose Company #1
• East Erie County EMS
• Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company
• Harborcreek Fire Department Drone Response Team
• Fairfield Hose Company VFD
• Brookside Fire Co. St 24
• Erie County Department of Public Safety
• West Erie County Emergency Management Agency
• North East Chamber of Commerce
And even more! To all the local businesses, neighbors, friends, and families that showed up in droves, opened up your doors to the public, and shared some parking space, you are all awesome!
A huge thank you to both Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific Railroad for bringing the locomotive by for a short stop!
We would also like to give a shout-out to our friends at JET/FOX/YourErie and Erie News Now for covering the event at the station today!
But mostly, we want to thank YOU! Come back and enjoy the museum at any time!
