We updated our flyer to reflect an exciting change-
Friday Evening we will have a lantern walk outside.

As the sun goes down, step back in time with us for a special Lantern Walk through the Civil War encampment at Center Brook.

Walk by lantern light, hear the stories of the men and women who lived through the war, and experience the sights and sounds of the camp after dark.

Friday night during our Civil War Living History Weekend. Bring the family and experience history in a whole new light!

📣 VOLUNTEERS WELCOME! 📣

Civil War Living History Weekend — October 9–10

You DON’T have to be a reenactor to be part of Civil War Weekend!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of support roles throughout the weekend. There’s something for everyone, and you can help for the entire day or just a few hours—whatever works for you!

🙋 Help welcome visitors
🎟️ Assist with admissions
🍽️ Help with food and refreshments
📋 Help behind the scenes
🏕️ Assist with camps and activities
…and plenty of other jobs that help make the weekend happen!

You’ll meet some great people, experience something a little different, and most importantly, help keep local history alive.

And let’s face it…
📺 Your TV shows will still be there.
🎮 Your computer games aren’t going anywhere.
📱 Facebook will survive without you for a few hours. 😉

Come spend part of your weekend doing something real, hands-on, and meaningful.

Volunteer for a few hours. Stay all day. Bring a friend.
You might just discover that history is a lot more fun when you're part of it!

Sometimes we just need a break from the constant work at Center Brook.
We’re taking the pine cut offs from the log cabin and making wooden artillery shells to sell at the October event. Since we’re not charging admission, this will be one way to help raise funds for the event

Things are progressing well at Center Brook Manor, getting the property ready for our annual Civil War event in October. The Log Cabin roof is on and the windows should be installed prior to the Event. The grounds are leveled and an entirely new outdoor walk as part of the tour is planned. We're really excited!

We're also forming a local Company of the 15th Ohio Artillery!
