WE'VE GOT SEEDS! Orange Cosmos seeds!

If you are interested in planting some cosmos, President Pete Mosley is inviting you to come on down to the historic school house and pluck the seeds before it's too late.

After the flower has finished blooming, what is left behind are the little spiky seeds (as shown in photo #2). Simply toss them where you want them to grow, and grow they will!

Thank you Wash 37135 and to everyone who took part in the fundraiser! What an amazing day!

What a fun Monday night with our friends at the Nolensville Historical Society. If you have never been to one of these meetings, you are missing out because the food is second to none and I may have snuck a few desserts out in my pockets. Our team at Wash 37135 was proud to present them with a check from our Morton Brittain House fundraiser. $4000 towards renovation of the home! The Historical Society did the heavy lifting of getting the house moved and we wanted to be a part of seeing it completed. The needs are still many and there are plenty of ways to help with restoring the home. Thanks to the entire community for showing up in a BIG way!

President Pete Mosley was in the headlines this week! He was recognized and honored for his service to our nation, his commitment to the community and his years of support of the Williamson County Fair.

Congratulations Pete!!!

Pete Mosley is a humble man and not one for the spotlight. That makes it difficult to surprise him.

Message from NHS Member Jeanne Flora Boutilier -

Good Morning! The Morton Brittain house is getting her new ‘bootie’ and will be removed from the beams and lowered soon. The date and time will be posted. It will be neat to watch that process. The foundation has been the first of a few major projects and in spite of a few bumps in the road, it will be complete!
The next big step is to get the roof on. We are continuing to look at different fundraisers and as always, donations are gratefully accepted😁.
Do you have any items that you’d like to be rid of? Anything that you’ve been meaning to take to Goodwill but just haven’t had a chance? If you would like to donate them to a worthy cause, I am happy to list them and sell them on marketplace with all funds going to benefit the house. It’s as easy as taking a picture and sending it to me, a brief description and I’ll do a write up to get your items sold and arrange for pick up. We only ask that the items have a minimum value of $50. PM me for details.
The Morton Brittain House Committee and the National Historical Society deeply appreciate any and all donations. Stay tuned for another exciting event coming up later this month with our friends at Wash 37135. We’re going to have some good clean fun!

Happy Hump Day!

Jeanne Flora Boutilier

Did you know that we have members throughout the U.S? Lillian Dutra is a member and lives in California. She and her family visited Nolensville in July 2019 and had this to say:

"We recently visited your wonderful town of Nolensville (I've included a photo.) Our family went on a RV road trip a couple of weeks ago, stopped in at the museum, and looked around town. We are Californians, and descendants of William & Sarah Nolen. Michelle Jenkins and Ms. Peggy kindly came in on a Sunday to show us some history and a little genealogy. We felt very welcomed by all the locals who came by to say "hello." It was great to see the historical elements of Nolensville, it appears your town is growing! Though our time was brief, it was something we will definitely keep with us. Nolensville is definitely something special, and we are so grateful to Michelle for the hospitality. Good luck on your quest to keep the historical elements around that keep Nolensville special. Hopefully we will be back again some day! "
